Sharp USA, maker and distributor of barber supplies, now has a blog on its Web site. It seems right now companies are about 50/50 when it comes to using the whole “blog” concept. For every company that understands how the blogosphere works and responds to things, there’s just as many companies that have no clue at all and end up creating so-called blogs which look as if they were created by someone who thinks words on a Web page instantly equals “blog.” Therefore, it’s nice to see Sharp doing it the right way. Yes, it’s very clearly part of Sharp’s site, there’s no effort made to hide that, but the entries all have to do with hair and barbering, even if it’s not directly related to Sharp. I can’t say I’ll be visiting the blog all that often, but it has a cool sense of humor and irrerverence that’s worth checking out at least once. I don’t know where else you’d find a link to a picture of Chewbacca getting a haircut.
